JSE Tracks March 30th
We are Lil' BEARCATS!
JSE News grows with Canvas!
We are here for you!
Good morning, JSE Families,
We have missed you and hope you found joy in the little things with family over spring break. Your JSE family is excited to get back into learning with you and your children and realizing the amazing things we can do to connect with our students during the weeks to come. While we too, wish we were giving high-fives and hugs at our schoolhouse, please know we have planned other ways to continue to support your children in feeling the love from their JSE family. Our teachers will be inviting your children to join in innovative ways to feel connected to their teacher and classmates. As a staff we have enjoyed seeing each other's faces and hearing each other's voices. This is essential for all of us to keep our minds engaged and our hearts healthy!
We understand this is an unnerving time and as humans, parents we go through the motions and emotions of navigating this time of uncertainty. In the last few weeks our lives have drastically shifted; from the littlest to the biggest aspect of our daily lives, we have all experienced the impact. As a schoolhouse, we want to be a source of strength, kindness, understanding, and assistance to you. We are committed to being there for you and your children. If there are any essential needs we can support you with or any questions or concerns that have not been addressed, please contact me directly via email, lbarnes@union.k12.in.us and/or reach out to our home/school liaison Lisa Morton, lmorton@union.k12.in.us.
As we say over the announcements each day, "You are loved at JSE!"
Proud to be a part of our JSE community,
Leigh Barnes

COMCAST
Two substantial program enhancements to help low income families deal with the coronavirus crisis:
1. We will make it even easier for low-income families who live in a Comcast service area to sign up by offering new customers 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials service, which is normally available to all qualified low-income households for $9.95/month.
2. Also, we are increasing Internet speeds for the Internet Essentials service from 15/2 Mbps to 25/3 Mbps for all new and existing customers, which will be the speed of the service going forward. In this way, we will ensure that Internet Essentials customers will be able to use their Internet service for all their increased needs as a result of this health crisis.
We want to make it as fast and simple as possible to access this service:
• To receive the increased Internet speeds, existing customers will not need to do anything. The new speeds will be rolled out nationally over the next few days.
• We’ll send all new customers a free self-install kit that includes a cable modem with a Wi-Fi router. There will be no term contract or credit check and no shipping fee.
• To sign up, applicants can simply visit https://www.internetessentials.com. The accessible website also includes the option to video chat with customer service agents in American Sign Language. There are also two dedicated phone numbers 1-855-846-8376 for English and
1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.
Comcast is offering FREE internet for two months for qualifying families who do not have internet access at home to help with connectivity during the coronavirus situation. More information & the application process can be found on their website:
