CDE Contest Schedule
General Information
-If you arrive after the leave time for a contest you are expected to attend class and reimburse the Booster Club contest expenses.
-When traveling to contests, students are expected to arrive looking presentable and dressed for the contest. Students are expected to wear contest clothing the entire day of travel.
-While traveling to contests students are expected to begin studying once the sun comes up and study until we arrive at the contest site.
-Following each contest completion, team members will walk back through the contest to determine the officials and learn from the contest experience.
-Students are expected to bring money for all meals and snacks.
-All students are expected to be patient, courteous, and practice good sportsmanship at all times, especially to the other PISD teams.
-All return times are an estimate based on the scheduled time for awards and travel times. Team members will communicate with parents once awards are completed for a more definite return time.
Attire
Scrubs must be IRONED and wear close-toed shoes. LOOK PRESENTABLE with your hair fixed!
All other teams:
Always arrive wearing your polo, nice jeans (no holes), close-toed shoes (no sandals), with your hair fixed – LOOK PRESENTABLE!
March 21st-22nd:Overnight Trip

6:30 AM - Meet at Clark Stadium (eat breakfast PRIOR to arriving at bus)
*Load luggage bag on cargo trailer. Only 1 small backpack is allowed on school bus.
6:45 AM - Depart for contest
9:00 AM - Contest starts at Northwest HS Outdoor Learning Center
*After contest, quick lunch - BRING MONEY
2:00 PM - Contest starts at Wise County Fairgrounds
6:00 PM - Awards Ceremony
7:30 PM - Dairy Cattle Judging Clinic Starts at Lone Star Arena - Stephenville, TX
8:00 PM - Dinner in Weatherford, TX - BRING MONEY
Hotel: Fairfield Inn, Weatherford, TX
March 22
6:00 AM - Eat breakfast at hotel
6:30 AM - Leave hotel for Stephenville
8:30 AM - Contest starts at Tarleton State University
Following contest, eat lunch in TSU Cafeteria - Plano West FFA Booster Club will cover cost of lunch
3:00 PM - Awards Ceremony
7:30 PM - Return to Clark Stadium
March 25th:Plano West Invitational Set Up-MANDATORY
4:30pm-6:30pm
PWSH Cafeteria

March 26th: Monday-Plano West Invitational CDE-MANDATORY

You will help facilitate the entire contest. The is an all hands-on deck event!! We cannot host a successful contest without you help. This contest is our biggest fundraiser and it is important for you to be there!!
March 28th: Winthorst

6:00 AM - Meet at Project Center (eat breakfast PRIOR to arriving at project center)
6:15 AM - Leave for Windthorst
9:00 AM - Contest starts
After contest, lunch is provided by contest.
12:00 PM - Awards
2:30 PM - Return to project center

April 4th: Heart of Texas
Transportation: Bus
5:30 AM - Meet at Clark Stadium (eat breakfast PRIOR to arriving at bus)
5:45 AM - Leave for Waco
9:00 AM - Floral & Poultry contests start
9:45 AM - Horse & Vet Science contests start
After walking through contest, lunch at Rudy's BRING MONEY
No awards ceremony, we will return to Plano following lunch.
5:00 PM - Return to Clark Stadium
April 17th: Area 5 Contest TAMU-Commerce
Transportation: Bus
5:45am-Meet on West Side of Clark Stadium in Parking Lot in Plano
6:00am-Depart Clark Stadium
7:30am- Arrive in Commerce (Breakfast at McDonald’s)
8:00am- Drop Teams & Teachers off on Campus
8:20am- Bus drive to Sulfur Springs
8:45am- Arrive in Sulfur Springs
12:00pm – Sulfur Springs Students back to Commerce
When contest are complete all teams will eat on campus.
3:00pm- Awards
4:30pm-Depart Commerce
6:00pm-Arrive at Clark Stadium
April 18th: Tarleton State Area Contest
Transportation: Van
Meet – 5:15 AM – West side of Clark Stadium
Leave – 5:30 AM
Contest starts – 8:30 AM
Lunch in TSU cafeteria
Awards – 3:00 PM
Return – 7:15-8:15 PM
April 20th-21-Texas Tech State CDE
