What's going on in the library?
Students:
1. Went on a scavenger hunt.
2. Learned not to roar like a lion in the library.
3. Learned not to mess up a book.
4. Learned what Abuela meant when she said, "Just a Minute Senor Calaveras."
5. Book looked and chose a book to read.

What's going on in Computer Science class?
My Computer
Students turning everyday objects into computers by adding input and output devices.
My Computer
Hand sanitizer becomes a computer when we add an input device like a keyboard and an output device like speakers.
Build a computer
Students learn about the internal hardware and other parts of a computer as they build their own.

Rainbow Writing
Students learn about keeping their online presence safe by first learning their username and passwords. Rainbow writing allows for repetitive practice.
What's going on in STEAM classes?
Tornado in a bottle
After the tornado hit Annapolis, our STEAM class created their own (this is not a picture of it). We then talked about tornado safety.
Honoring First Responders- Fold
We honored the fallen heroes of 9/11 by building fire and police trucks. Students followed multiple directions including "fold at the yellow lines."
Build
We folded and creased then, opened and colored our trucks and cars.

Our First Responder vehicles are finished?
Dot Day Towers
For International Dot Day, we built the tallest towers using dots and index cards. We started with a strong base.
Keep building
We had to decide the best ways to use the dots and the cards.
Finished Product
We make great engineers!
Fall Equinox
For Fall Equinox, we studied the phases of the moon and made replicas out of playdough.
Pinecone Study
Today we were scientists! We studied pinecones by first gathering information.
