4th and 5th Puberty Classes
Our 4th and 5th graders will participate in the 2-day puberty and healthy living classes. Only students with signed permission slips will participate. Those who have opted out will receive an alternative assignment.
DOT Updates
The DOT is continuing their work around the school. The District leadership and I have been in constant communication with the project inspector regarding the burning of debris. All burning is being completed within the rights of the burning permits obtained by the demolition crew. They have agreed to move the piles of debris nearest the playground so as not to burn so close to the school. As a school administration team we are watching the air quality closely and making accommodations to ensure the safety of all of our students as best we can.
Are You Missing A Coat?
We have more than 50 coats and sweaters that have been left at the playground. If your child is missing a coat, sweater, or sweatshirt, there is a good chance it is hanging on one of these racks. We will leave these racks up until May 1st. Any remaining items will be donated. Thank you!
Attendance Matters!
Below you will find the attendance data from last week along with year to date totals. There are several grade levels that have more absences and tardies than days of school. Let's all focus on being (and staying) at school!
Office Hours
This is friendly reminder that the WEE office hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Thank you!
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration will be held on April 14, 2023. Families with incoming K students must complete the online registration form as well. Students wishing to transfer either to WEE or from WEE must complete the registration at their districted school and then complete the transfer process. We can't wait to meet all of our new WEE Warriors!

Dress Code
As the weather warms up and we break out the shorts and tshirts, please be mindful of the MCS dress code. All students must be covered from shoulders to mid-thigh. Shorts, dresses, and skirts must be the appropriate length. Shirts should also cover the entire stomach area. Thanks for your help with this!
Early Dismissal Reminders
This is a friendly reminder of our early dismissal policy. All early dismissals must be completed by 2:00 pm. After 2:00 pm students must be picked up in the car rider line.
Late Arrivals
Our morning car line closes at 7:30 am sharp. Please do not drop your student off at the car line area at or after 7:30 am. Starting tomorrow morning this area will be chained off at 7:30 am. The safety of our students is our number one concern. When students are dropped off in the car line after 7:30 am there are no staff members to supervise them. Thank you for partnering with us to help keep our students safe.
Car Line Procedure Reminders
When you enter the car line please be reminded to stay close to the cars in front of you. We also need cars to move all the way to the playground side of the parking lot where Mr. Barber is stationed. This keeps our line moving smoothly. Thank you!
Changes to Dismissal Process
If a change to a student's dismissal process is needed (ex: bus rider needs to be a car rider), please send a note to the teacher. Last minute changes must be communicated in email to the teacher and a call to the front office. Please do not send Dojo messages for this time of change. Our teachers are busy teaching and do not always have the opportunity to check their messages before dismissal.
