Mothers Honored with Annual Mother's Day Tea

Ms. Lee really outdid herself this year with the Mother's Day Tea hosted by the C.W. Henry cheerleaders and various 5th and 7th graders. The tea honored influential female family members of the 3rd grade class. Finger foods, desserts, and tea were served. This year there were about 30 mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who attended. 2013 marked the 7th Annual Mother's Day Tea at C.W. Henry. Thanks, Ms. Lee!

Sports Teams Represent Henry!

Dragonboating, track, and softball dominated the sports scene in May! Our girls softball team made it to the playoffs but lost in the first round to Cook-Wissahickon. They ended the season with a 3 win-1 loss record. On May 18th, they will represent our school in the Phillies Softball Celebration at Citizen's Bank Park. The Healthy Dragonboating team rowed their way to success on the Schuylkill throughout May. On May 13th the boys and girls competed in the city-wide school regatta. They placed 1st and 2nd out of 5 schools! On June 1st they will row again against all teams in the City of Brotherly Love regatta. Go Dragonboaters! The track team represented C.W. Henry at the Penn Relays on April 26th and won 3rd place for Middle School Girls. Ciani Kensey won 1st place in the 800 meter in the meet against Jenks and AB Day. Way to represent, teams!
