Summmary
The Iranian Hostage Crisis was a diplomatic crisis between the countries of Iran and US. 52 US diplomats and civilians were held hostage for 444 day on November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981. (approximately 1 year and 2 1/2 months) This happened when a group of Iranian students took over the US Embassy in Tehran, in support of the Iranian Revolution.

Back in the US there was protests and hatred to Iranian Americans.
The Media
The media played a huge role on both sides of the crisis. The US media generally felt was the US citizens dud and this can be seen in some of their reports.
