Fall Fun & Caring Campaigns
Hello, Central Elementary Families!
On another note, we want to express our appreciation for all that you do to support our campus and our students. Our Pirate Pantry continues to impact lives across all grade levels. Your generosity continues to provide for many, many students and their families. From snacks and personal items to clothing and shoes, our Central community is rallying behind our students to meet their needs. Thank you for your support with Halloween Costume Donations, Original Art, and the You Can Share Food Drive.

Mrs. Baird's Teachers On the Rise
The Teachers On The Rise program was created to give students an avenue to write about their teachers and tell us why they deserve special recognition. With monthly winners, the program allows Mrs Baird’s to be involved in our community throughout the entire school year!
Students are able to log onto the Mrs. Baird's website at http://www.MrsBTeacher.com and write a short essay on how their teacher(s) go above and beyond the call of duty. Every month, beginning in late September through late May, Mrs. Baird's will select three winners— one in elementary, one in middle school/junior high, and one in high school. Then, Mrs. Baird's plans surprise presentations for the winning teachers and students. They try to make these presentations as big as possible from an all-school assembly, to a part of a pep rally, to even halftime at a high school football game!
Each winning teacher receives great prizes including a $100 United Supermarkets gift card, lunch for 2 to the Texas Tech Club, and a prize package from the Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA). Students who nominate a winning teacher receive a $50 VISA gift card.
At the completion of the school year, we will host a year-end banquet at the Texas Tech Club for all 27 of our winning teachers throughout the year including their spouses/guest.
Please take a moment to nominate an incredible teacher at Lubbock-Cooper Central Elementary for his honor! We know we have many "Teachers On the Rise" and look forward to celebrating them this year!
PIRATE Points
We want to encourage students to display excellent citizenship and we hope to do so by awarding PIRATE points all throughout the year. Students can earn points for the following positive behaviors:
P - Positive Attitude
I - Innovation
R - Respectful Behavior
A - Academic Achievement
T - Teamwork
E - Exceeding Expectations
Any Central staff member or Watch DOG can award points and any individual student or group can earn them for their House. We are on the lookout for Pirates who are going above and beyond to be excellent citizens! We look forward to recognizing their efforts!
Central Elementary Vision Statement
The vision of Lubbock-Cooper Central Elementary is to cultivate a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment where all are supported and valued equally.
Pirates will be enthusiastically challenged with innovative ideas that encourage academic and civic achievement.
