Can't Hide Our Hound Pride!
Welcome to the first Paw Print of the 2022-2023 school year! This newsletter serves as a communication tool for our families to ensure you receive the latest details concerning all things HUGGINS ELEMENTARY! The Paw Print will be sent out weekly to parents/guardians via Skyalert, based on the settings you have established in Family Access via Skyward. We will also post a link on our Huggins Facebook Page. Please help spread the word, as we encourage our families to read this communication each week to ensure they are receiving timely information/updates.
We cannot wait to welcome our students back to school on Monday, August 22nd! Please remember that our doors open at 7:00am. The school day starts at 7:30am, and school dismisses at 2:55pm.This year, you will notice that our school has been undergoing extensive rennovations centered around school safety. This includes a new security vestibule at the front of the school and renovations to our office suite. Although construction is not quite completed, we have been working closly with our construction team, School Safety Coordinator, and LCISD Police Department to ensure we are ready to welcome students back to school.
Each year our incoming fifth graders vote on a school theme. Our theme for the 22-23 school year is "Can't Hide Our Hound Pride" and will feature all things camo! In true Huggins tradition, we encourage our Hounds to rock the camo on Mondays as part of our theme days (ensuring compliance with the LCISD dress code). See below for information regarding the dress code expectations for the 22-23 school year.
Speaking of attire, our parent organization, Friends of Huggins, is gearing up with some new spirit wear designs for the 22-23 school year. More information will be coming from them soon. Please be sure to check out the FOH website at https://www.friendsofhuggins.org/ and follow them on Facebook for the latest updates.
Please be sure to scroll below to see important back to school reminders! We hope to see you at our Summer Spirit Night tomorrow at Freddy's and at our first annual LCISD Block Party on Saturday, August 13th (see flyers below).
Serving our students and the Fulshear community is my absolute honor, and I can't wait for THE BEST SCHOOL YEAR YET!
LCISD Beginning of Year Forms - Action Needed
For the 2022-23 school year, all required Lamar Consolidated ISD beginning-of-year forms must be completed online through the Skyward Family Access Center.
Offering these forms digitally allows you the convenience of only updating information that has changed from last school year, while also helping us maintain accurate information in our student information system. Instructions, important dates and technical assistance regarding the online forms can be found by clicking here. Included on this page is a link to reset your Family Access username/password if you have forgotten it.
Online forms will be available through the Family Access Center starting Aug. 1 and all forms need to be submitted no later than Sept. 16th. Your student’s schedule will not be available online through the Family Access Center until all of the beginning-of-year forms are completed for your student and after the campus has released schedules. Student schedules will be available online on Wednesday, Aug. 17th if all online forms have been completed.
For those who need access to a computer or the Internet, computers will be available on campus Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. starting August 8th.
