Setting Healthy Goals for the New Year
- Stay on top of preventative care. Regular physical exams, vaccines, blood pressure checks, and more.
- Add 10 minutes of exercise to your day. If you don't already exercise, taking the small step to add in 10 minutes each day is a great start.
- Sleep. Aim to get your 8 hours of sleep each night!
- Stay ahead of stress. Plan to spend at least 5 minutes on stress relief - take a quick walk, meditation, or deep breathing exercises.
- Water. Don't drink your calories. It is easy to cut calories by choosing water instead - it's calorie free!
- Make it a habit to be grateful. Everyday, write down something you are grateful for and one thing you will do for someone else.
- Add an extra serving of fruit or vegetable to your day. Aim to eat at least one fruit or vegetable with every meal and snack.
- Commit to a savings plan. Meet your financial goals by setting a savings plan and pay yourself first.

Get Financially Fit
- Evaluate your spending. Know where your money goes. Being aware of how you are spending your money is one of the first steps to financial wellness. This will also allow you to see where you can cut back.
- Develop a simple budget. Plan for your spending by developing a budget. Include savings in your budget - PAY YOURSELF FIRST! Treat your savings account like any other monthly bill you have.
- Plan for major purchases. This is not always easy, but if you do know of a major purchase you would like to make in the future, build your savings for this purchase.
- Protect your credit. You can view your credit report every year from each credit reporting agency.
