February Newsletter
Halmstad Elementary
News from the Principal
What an interesting January! From the ups and downs of the weather to the start of the second semester of the school year to a continued focus on this year’s goals while planning for the upcoming school year, it has been an interesting and jam-packed January, to say the least!
I would like to start by thanking those of you I have met for making me feel so welcomed. I also feel compelled to let you know that your children are very fortunate to have such a great group of peers and professionals to be around everyday! I look forward to meeting even more of you during parent/teacher conferences.
Speaking of parent/teacher conferences, we are scheduled to host ours on February 19th and 21st. Please know that the staff spends a significant amount of time assessing students and being intentional with what they document on report cards. Parent/teacher conferences provide a great opportunity to discuss this information.
Upcoming, please look for a message from the school district with the parent/guardian survey. This survey provides information that the staff uses to create goals and action plans for the upcoming school year. Prior to this, look for a short survey from Halmstad that will ask you how we are doing against our goals this year. This survey will provide you an opportunity to add comments as well.
