Art Show Special
Dear Parents
This last week has been full of activity getting everything finished for our fantastic Art Show. We focused on the following questions: what is art? Who make art? What is an art show? Children have shared their comments, and they are now experts on the field.
We also discussed how their work is helping someone with needs. We asked, how can we make someone feel better? And their ideas were great! Hugs, kisses, gifts, and fun games were a few of their ideas. During the week, children have been making beautiful cards for Alexandra. We are glad to say, we have very kind and helpful children in our school family.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you all for supporting our PK Art Show and making it the success it has been. Your generous support will allow us to grant Alexandra’s wish.
The children have been working so hard on their art works and it was such a pleasure to see the pride in their faces as they showed you around their exhibition.
I hope you enjoy what is just a snapshot of how the children created such wonderful pieces. We will be sending all their art work home next week.

Pink Shirt Day
Without a doubt, I have to say this is one of the closest group of kids I have ever seen. Our school family is strong and beautiful Children cherish and honor their friendships every day. So for us, PINK Shirt Day was a tribute to that. In whole group discussion we came up with 2 promises we can and will always strive to keep:
- we will be kind
- we will be helpful
Thank you for raising wonderful, kind, helpful and loving children!

Mixing Colors
In discovery center, children explored how to create color shades. Children chose from a variety of paint samples the color and shade they wanted to create. Then, using the books they figured out the colors they needed to mix. it was fun seeing them try different mixtures until they got what they wanted.
Once the colors were ready, each child painted a white piece of paper, waited for it to dry and the end result were a bunch of beautiful mice just like in the book Mouse Paint.

Our letter are unique
and so are we!"
This book was a great way to get children excited about creating their letters. They loved the process, the uniqueness of their creations and the display.
I am proud to see what they accomplished!
Post Cards for Alexandra
During whole group discussion we talked about Alexandra and how she had always dreamed of having a beautiful princess room. Children got very excited about helping out and they gave ideas on how to help her decorate it. We explained that through their hard work they were helping her get her dream. We will continue to show them the process of helping Alexandra out. So we will keep you updated also!
