Rock out Reading
We have rockstar readers who don't stop 'till they drop! Students are working hard using the WILSON reading system to enrich their knowledge of the English language. Our learners are excited to be reading about the English vs. the metric measurement systems, the Bill of Rights, and the human body. We are having fun predicting story events using titles; making mini movies in our heads as we read; and scooping our sentences to increase fluency.
Learners are eagerly participating in rotating centers during math. In our focus centers, students are creating tape diagrams to represent word problems; using arrays to understand multiplication; and manipulating cubes and rulers to compare measurement types. In our math game center, learners are loving the game Snake Eyes when practicing their math facts! In our independent center, students choose between using an IPAD to do practice lessons on MobyMax or a practice sheet at their desk. Students get very excited about earning achievement badges on MobyMax to add to their Badge of Honor collection!
