Planning for 2021-2022
Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is now open! If your student is currently attending HOA & you wish to remain with us next year, fill out a Current Transfer Continuation Request
Middle & High School students can find their Forecasting information on our website under the Academics menu along with course descriptions. Forecasting forms, either hard copy or electronic, should be returned by June 1st.
Students returning to their building just need to check in with office staff (Elementary) or the Counseling Department (Secondary) to make sure everything is in order for a smooth transition. If we have not received a transfer request for the 2021-2022 school year, we have already set students' enrollment to their building.
If you have any questions, please email Kristina at estradak@hsd.k12.or.us

Last chance to participate in the Cultural Celebration for the year!
We have an amazing group of families and students here at HOA, and with this event would like a chance to enrich our community by getting to the know the diversity of cultures and traditions that we have among us. All of us have unique cultural and family traditions that we can share, let's celebrate this diversity by participating in the first ever HOA cultural fair!
For the rest of this school year, we hope to have four grades share their contributions each month. Students can choose among a variety of options, submit them to our committee, and then we will post them for all of the HOA and HSD communities to see. We hope to have a variety of submissions and cultures represented.
The teachers in grades K-6 will be distributing a Google slide template that students can use to format their videos/photos. Students in grades 7-12 will receive the template in their school email. In May, we are welcoming submissions from all grades, and all members of the staff as well. Please submit by May 21st
Some ideas of types of submissions:
- Share a recipe of your favorite traditional food/meal/dish
- Be a cooking show host and show us how to prepare this dish!
- Take pictures in traditional clothing from your culture
- Be a travel host and make a video of yourself in these clothes and talk about them or take us to your family's country of origin and show us around.
- Create a poster with pictures to showcase your culture
- Draw a picture of what kids do for fun in your culture
- Play music from your culture
- Show us a dance from your culture
- Teach us some of a language you speak other than English
- Write, tell or read a story that is significant to your family and/or culture
- Share a holiday tradition that is unique to your family and/or culture
Students can be creative and come up with their own ideas as well, keeping the virtual presentation format in mind.
Thanks, and let our counseling team know if you have any questions.
