Our district has now deployed all of the iPads to every school (about 8,000 iPads). This was a tremendous undertaking that took an enormous amount of planning and preparation on the part of our District's Technology Team. Considering the magnitude of this initiative and the fact that we have never done this before, there have been a very small percentage of problems. Overall it has gone very, very well.

Although our district's very small technology team, led by Kristin Hearne, has done an incredible job, they have unfortunately had a lot of negativity directed their way throughout the district. I'm sure they are a little overwhelmed and discouraged, which is very unfortunate.

Having said this, I would like for Spearman to be the POSITIVE VOICE in our district. If at all possible I would like for you to write a quick note to the "District Technology Team", thanking them for their hard work thus far, including training, professional development, planning, deployment, roll-out day, scheduling, trouble-shooting, etc...

I think this would be a nice gesture that would be greatly appreciated by the team and energize them for further work ahead. Please just write a quick note to them and place it in my box by this Wednesday 17. If you want to write an email, you can email it to me and I will collect all of them and get it to the correct individuals.

Thank you!
