Happy Heart Hunt- this WEEKEND!
Don't forget to create Colorful Hearts and place them in the windows of your home before February 13th!
On February 13th + 14th let's walk or drive through our neighborhoods to see how many hearts we can spot in the windows. Don't forget to walk by Springville School too!
We will be going around taking pictures and you can too! Please send pictures to shannon.cornelius@gmail.com.
The Reading Rally is coming!
The Springville PTO presents the first ever Springville Reading Rally! It's our fundraising event that runs February 22nd - March 5th. We will promote student engagement with literacy goals, while encouraging donations to help support a variety of student services. Informational videos and an instructional handbook are viewable on our website <https://springvillepto.org/reading-rally-document>
*If you are interested in donating or becoming a sponsor, please visit the PTO website or contact us at vpfundraising@springvillepto.org
As a team, our goal is to raise at least $25,000 through donations from family and friends and our community sponsors. In years past, we have successfully raised well beyond this amount through our school wide fundraisers. We recognize that these times are difficult for many of us, so we encourage you to participate to the level that is comfortable to your family or business. 100% of the funds raised support Springville students through:
Purchase of Classroom Supplies
Purchase of Library Books
Community Building Events
Teacher Continuing Education
And more!
Please check out our Intro Video and website for details:

GO WOLVES!
Thanks a Brunch! (Springville Staff Appreciation)
It's time to show your appreciation for our Springville Staff & Teachers! They have put a lot of time and effort to help our children have a great school year in these unusual circumstances. Come show your appreciation in the following ways -
- Sign up here to donate items for breakfast boxes for our staff and teachers. Bring purchased items to the school on Thursday, Feb 18th between 11am-12pm and/or 5-6pm. We will be outside of the school (near school lunch pickup) with a cart set up to drop off your items.
- Students can make signs or write notes of appreciation for the teachers and email them to vpcommunityrelations@springvillepto.org and we will pass them to the staff.
We hope you will help us in making this event a memorable one for our staff! More details at https://springvillepto.org/staff-appreciation-events

Welcome Springville Volunteers!
Volunteering in the 2020-21 school year will be unlike previous years. Although we are unsure what remote volunteer needs will be, we invite you to create a volunteer profile or update your existing profile. This will ensure you are able to help Springville staff and students through volunteer work as opportunities arise. A volunteer profile is required for all volunteering within BSD schools. Please follow the steps below to update or create your volunteer profile.
Existing BSD Volunteers (new to Springville)
Please send an email to update_volunteer_locations@beaverton.k12.or.us and request to add Springville K-8 to the organizations listed in your mVP account. Provide your full first and last name as it appears in your profile. If you will no longer be volunteering at other schools in the district, you may also request to remove those schools from your profile.
New BSD Volunteers
If you are a new volunteer to the Beaverton School District, you must create a volunteer account. This process includes a background check.
If you are a…
- Parent/Guardian: Complete the Parent/Guardian Volunteer Application
- Community Volunteer: Complete the Community Volunteer Application (This applies to grandparents, nannies, neighbors, etc.)
- Youth Volunteers: Complete the Youth Volunteer Application
Within the application, please include all of the BSD schools where you would like to be a volunteer. You will have one profile for all your BSD volunteering. This step also initiates a background check. It will come up for renewal every 2 years.
IMPORTANT: Remember your log in and password! This is important for both home and school access to your profile. Make it easy to remember and/or keep it accessible. For more information, visit BSD's volunteer website.
Thank you for giving your time and talents to Springville this school year!
