📢 School Updates 📢📢
22-23 Reflection- UPDATED
We had many staff not complete the 22-23 Reflection Form posted in last week's newsletter. Since this is part of the process to begin summative meetings, we appreciate the completion this week if you have not already.
Please take some time to reflect on this school year and provide input for next year. We are asking all staff to complete this survey at their earliest convenience. Please take this moment to reflect and provide honest feedback.
Q3 Awards Deadline- NEW
Mindful Monkeys on Wednesdays- NEW
Each Wednesday, 4 Fly classes (2 6th , 1 7th, and 1 8th) will have Mindful Monkeys push in during the time of the Second Step lesson. Instead of teaching Second Step, Mindful Monkeys will do a lesson. You should remain in the classroom during their visit. You will teach the missed Second Step lesson the following week and there will be a buffer week for staff.
Global Perspectives Debrief- NEW
Thank you to everyone for your hard work on last week's Global Perspectives Day! Please take some time to complete the following reflection pieces to help us learn from our experience and be better prepared next year.
1. Complete this short reflection about the structure of the day & the planning process. Staff who complete the general reflection by Friday, 4/14, will be entered into a raffle to win one of two $50 ACES gift cards.
2. Complete the debrief notes for your team's project. You have received an email with the link to the document, or you can find it in your team's planning folder here.
Device Check- Reminder
Please view this 4 minute video BEFORE Friday so you know what to do.
Chromebook Checks will occur this Friday during Fly.
Teachers will be provided a roster that they will use to check on the condition of the Chromebook and the charger.
4th - 8th-grade teachers will be provided a list of students who charge their devices in the carts.
Teachers will have every student put their charger and device on the desk. The device needs to be turned on.
Teacher will walk around while students are having snacks or watching announcements and record the condition of the charger, device, & case on the roster for each student. This should be a glance at the device.
Rosters will be turned in to Mrs. Schulze. The tech team will work together to notify families of needed payments.
We truly appreciate your help so we can effectively communicate with families about known Chromebook issues before the end of the school year.

Thinking about Q4 assessments- Review
With state testing, it is usually quite difficult to have 3 tests and 3 quizzes for assessment grades. Instead, we encourage teachers to eliminate the quiz category. This means you would have a minimum of three test grades, no quiz grades, and at least 5 PTs. One of the test grades should be either project based or an assessment that does not require studying.
