Purpose:
In response to your request for more professional development opportunities in the virtual setting, we are offering voluntary sessions focused on technology and the virtual classroom. These sessions are led by our own district staff within our District Technology Committee. Please, read the descriptions and register for the session you would like to attend.
*The sessions are first come first serve and will be capped at 30 participants. The last day to register is 11/9/2020.

Strategies for Engaging Students in a Virtual Class

Description:
In this session, participants will come away with strategies for engaging students in the virtual class setting. Participants will have the opportunity to share their best practices as well as leave with strategies they can try tomorrow.
Learning Google Slides Basics

In this session, you will get a beginner's level overview of how to use Google Slides to enhance your classroom.
Virtual Instruction with Pear Deck

Description:
Pear Deck is a resource that can be utilized in any virtual classroom. Pear Deck is a great way to connect and engage students with different types of questions, and students are able to respond in real-time, especially now during virtual instruction. Adding audio to instruction and providing feedback to student responses are new valuable features. There are many other features that will promote effective instruction and student engagement/learning when implementing Pear Deck in your classroom.
Organizing Your Google Drive Like A Pro

You'll learn how to use folders, shared drives, and smart file names alongside sorting and searching functions in order to keep your Google Drive in perfect order.
