CHROMEBOOKS & HOTSPOTS & CHARGERS

This week we will be collecting district issued Chromebooks/Hotspots in an effort to inventory all of our devices this summer!

  • Students attending in-person learning will leave Chromebooks and power supplies on their desks by the last day of school (June 11, 2021).
  • After the last day of school, Chromebooks and power supplies must be returned to the High School Media Library before July 16, 2021.
  • Cohort C Distance Learning students (and any students who did not return their tech to school by June 11) will return their Chromebooks and power supplies to the High School Media Library before July 16, 2021.

MATH MANIPULATIVES BOX

The distance learning math manipulatives kit were also checked out to each student and will need to be returned. Please continue to bring them in to school. We understand that there may be missing pieces, please just bring in what you have. There are collection boxes in front of the school and on the Principal's Patio.

LIBRARY BOOKS

You may be receiving notices for overdue library books and we want to make sure to turn them in! There is a box in the front of school for any students returning library books or math kits.

Summer Learning Opportunities

This summer, your children can continue using some of the online platforms through clever app. Students' Lexia Core 5, Dreambox, iReady and Reading A-Z accounts will continue to be available for practice, enrichment, and academic engagement.

Additionally, check out this menu of activities and recommendations for balancing academics, enrichment, and fun this summer!

Our Shared Learning: Happy PRIDE month!

Happy pride month, Lions! At the heart of pride month is the goal of celebrating, validating, and affirming the identities all of our La Ballona Lions and families, no matter who they are and how they experience the world.

As our community learns more about the history of pride month, questions and conversations may arise and our job as grown-ups is to help provide information that supports our mission of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Check out the videos and link below for resources to guide talks with the young people in your life.
