How To Deal With Depression
- find somebody trusted to talk to
- talk to a doctor and see if medication would help
- keep a journal
- get plenty of sleep
- go outside and expose yourself to sunlight
- care for a pet or loved one
- exercise
SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)
This depression is related to the changing of the seasons. More often than not, this depression begin in the fall months and lasts through winter when the weather begins to get colder and darker.
Manic Depression
This depression causes things called "manic episodes" which are extreme highs and are characterized by outrageous behavior. After months or weeks of this episode, an affected person begins a depressive episode which is characterized by serve depression which also can last for weeks or months at a time.
Chronic Depression
Chronic depression is characterized by hopelessness, extreme sadness, loss of interest, guilt, etc. It can cause fatigue and/or suicidal thoughts or actions.
