Student Success Initiative

EM-S ISD Summer School

A Grade Placement Committee will be formed for each student that has been unsuccessful on the STAAR reading and/or mathematics assessment. This committee will develop an individual Acceleration Intervention Plan for each student. SSI Summer School may be part of that Acceleration Intervention Plan.

The purpose of SSI Summer School is to provide accelerated instruction for students in 5th and 8th grade that have not met level 2 satisfactory performance on the STAAR reading and/or mathematics assessment.
