Proud to Be Your Principal
We are closing in on the end of another amazing school year, Firebird families! I can't believe that summer is right around the corner. Our last day will be a half-day for students on Thursday, June 7. Students in 4K-3rd grade will be released at 11:45 am, and grades 4-8 will be released at 11:48.
We will have our end-of-year water celebration contained within the lawn adjacent to the bus ramp. Students or parents who do not wish to participate should stay on the sidewalk or normal pickup areas. We ask that every participant helps to clean up the water celebration, and students will need to load the buses for departure promptly at 12:00 pm.
Thank you and have an excellent summer!
Proud to be Your Principal,
Brent Johnson

Notes from the Nurse
With the end of the school year come multiple field trips. PLEASE make sure your child is adequately prepared for the occasion. If your child will be going to the park or beach, please make sure that you apply liberal amounts of sunscreen prior to school to help prevent sunburn. It will be very difficult for teachers to make sure every student has sunscreen on, or to reapply it throughout the day… Having your child wear a swim shirt may be helpful in preventing sunburn as well. In addition, wearing bug repellent to prevent mosquito bites and if applicable have your child long pants to avoid tick bites.
Thank you for your cooperation.
With tick season in full swing, please make sure you check your child for ticks frequently. Tick bites can kill or leave a child very sick. The following links have very good information regarding ticks:
