A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris

Dear Walker Families,

Thank you for helping your child work from home for the two days of remote learning. We appreciate your continued partnership! We look forward to starting our 10th week of school this week.

This week is National Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon inspires our Wildcats to be drug-free and takes place each year from October 23 through 31st. We will celebrate being drug-free at Walker with dress-up days for each day of the week. On Monday, we will show we are RED-Y and have a strong body by wearing fitness clothes or activewear. We will celebrate kicking the bad habits to the curb on Tuesday as we dress in western attire. Wednesday we will dress as our favorite decade to show that we have had decades and decades of healthy bodies. Thursday is peace out to bad habits so we will be wearing our tie-dye shirts. We will end the week with a book character day. Students should dress up in their favorite book character costume. If your child has the book for their costume at home, please send it with them. We will have a virtual book character parade. Check out our Facebook page at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 30th, for the virtual parade video.

Thank you for partnering with us for your child's education. We are here for your child each and every day. If there is a question, concern, or even an idea to share, please reach out to your child's teacher or to either one of us.

Thank you,

Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org

Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org

A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris en español

Gracias,

Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org

Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org
