ROBINWOOD ELEMENTARY NOMINATED AS A BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL
As shared late last week with families, we are very excited to share that Robinwood has been nominated by Wisconsin to join the esteemed community of National Blue Ribbon Schools. You can see our letter here to families in case you missed it. Only up to 8 outstanding public schools can be nominated from Wisconsin for the National Blue Ribbon Schools award.
We thank all of you as parents and guardians for your active partnership with us in your child’s educational experience. You play an integral role in our success, which is strongly reflected in this National Blue Ribbon School nomination. We should all be very proud of this accomplishment and we will share more in the fall as award winners are announced.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be working through this prestigious award application process to undergo review. The national award winners will be announced in the fall of 2021.
COHERENCE PLAN FAMILY FOCUS GROUP SIGN UP FORM
As we shared in the March 5th District Newsletter (here), the Franklin Public School District is in the process of refreshing our Coherence Plan for another three years. An important next step in this process for us is to gather insights and feedback from a variety of stakeholder focus groups (employees, students, families) throughout the month of April. Participants in these focus groups will have the opportunity to learn about the future of our strategic work and provide input on that direction. We are currently planning a one-hour virtual family focus group on Wednesday, April 7th from 5:30-6:30 PM. This focus group will consist of 20-25 people from across elementary, middle, and high school families. The focus group will be facilitated by Melissa Matarazzo, an external coach with the Studer Education Group.
If you are interested in participating in this focus group, please complete this interest form by Friday, March 26th (the start of Spring Break).
If we receive more than 25 requests to participate in the group, participants will be randomly selected. Please consider joining this opportunity to help shape our future strategic work. Thank you for your continued support in helping Franklin Public Schools become a better place to learn, better place to work, and part of a better community.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Spring is right around the corner. Even as the weather starts warming up we still have chilly days. Please watch the weather and make sure your son/daughter is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Coats are necessary for the colder weather. We still may even have snow. If you see snow in the forecast please send snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens. ALL students will be expected to have boots and snow pants during the weeks they are assigned to the snowy areas.
This being Wisconsin, it can become warm and sunny by noontime. Please remind your child if they choose to remove their jacket during recess they are to be tied around their waist and not left on the playground
