Frequently Asked Questions
How will we make sure our student is enrolled in Band, Chorus, Orchestra?
- 7th and 8th Grade: If your student previously participated in band, chorus or orchestra at Edgewood Middle and you have not expressed a desire for this to change, they are being scheduled to continue. We are investigating possibilities for students who may wish to participate in more than one music ensemble. If this is of interest to you, please complete this SURVEY.
- Incoming 6th Grade Students should have completed an interest form near the end of the school year. However to ensure that we have all of this information correct, we ask that you complete THIS FORM
Do I need to register my child for the middle school?
- No. Students attending feeder elementary schools will be automatically enrolled.
When will I know my child's schedule?
- Student schedules will be released on HAC on August 27 after 5 PM Home Access Center accounts will transfer from the elementary school. Students will also receive a paper copy of their schedule on the first day of school.
What opportunities are there to meet teachers and learn more about EDMS?
- Open House will be available for all new students and students who remained virtual last year. September 2 - 1:30-3:30 PM
- Back to School Night - September 9 - 5:30 PM

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR 7th GRADE STUDENTS' PARENTS / GUARDIANS:
The State of Maryland requires all 7th grade students receive a Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine. The Harford County Health Department will be offering free vaccination clinics beginning August 17, 2021, for students who need these vaccines. Please call for an appointment: (410) 612-1774. Documentation of vaccines may be forwarded to the School Nurse: barbara.polack@hcps.org .
