Gonorrhea is a bacterial infection which is caused by procaryote. It can be transmitted through vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
There are many different symptoms of gonorrhea, most common one being no symptom. In males, symptoms include: Milky discharge from penis, a burning sensation when urinating, and pain and swelling in the testicles. In girls symptoms can include but are not limited to vaginal discharge, burning sensation during urination, painful intercourse, pelvic pain, and irregular periods.
Gonorrhea can be treated with antibiotics as prescribed from your doctor.
The best way to prevent gonorrhea is to practice abstinence, if you must have sex practice safe sex and use a condom
Early diagnosis of gonorrhea is key to preventing reproductive damage, If you are experiencing any of these symptoms it is key that you tell your doctor.
