Summer Edition 2019

1:1 Chromebook Roll-Out: Phase Two

All freshmen and seniors will receive Chromebooks and chargers on August 1-2, 2019. Chromebooks will be brought back and forth to school every day. Charging them every night will be a must!

Optional insurance coverage will be available for the Chromebooks. This is highly recommended as the cost for insurance ($30/year) is much lower than the repair costs for Chromebook damage ($89 -$270). Forms and information can be found on the District website.

Technology integration, Digital Literacy instruction, and common Chromebook Expectations will continue to be a main priority next school year.

We are excited to take our students to the next level with technology while guiding them in the proper and safe use of their devices.

You can find additional digital citizenship information on the District Website.

NYT Summer Reading Contest: June 14-August 23, 2019

Every week, students will choose something in The Times that has sparked their interest and explain why. At the end of the week, judges from the Times newsroom pick favorite responses and publish them here. Students can access the NYT from our databases. They must use their @student.rjuhsd.us account to log in.
