It is challenging coming to a new district in the middle of the school year. Just ask Mrs. McFadden! :)

I hope all of your had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you all for the well wishes and the gift cards. We enjoyed them very much. :)

T-TESS Workshop

The Region 7 ESC is offering an online workshop that I would like for all of our teachers to to consider (It is optional.). You have the month of January to sign up for it and you have the month of February to complete the training.

I will be signing up for the training as well.

Here is the link to register.

STAAR - Projected Scores

TEA has not posted projected cut scores for this year's STAAR tests, but based on the commissioner's ruling, Lead4ward has posted projected scores. Those are posted below.

CBA and Benchmark Results

Create a letter to be sent home to parents with each student's scores on them. Have the parents sign the letter and return them. This should hopefully give parents an idea of how their child will perform on the upcoming STAAR tests.

School Board Appreciation Month

January is Board Appreciation Month. Do any of you have any suggestions of what we can give them?

Here is the link to the School Board Appreciation Planning Kit.

  • 6th grade Art project for each member
  • 7th/8th Tech Club - "Thank You" card or video

8th Grade Dance / T-Shirts

I've already heard parents talking about the 8th grade dance, so we may need to get a jump on the planning for it.

Also, we need to decide who is going to handle designing and ordering the 8th grade T-Shirts.

Valentine's Day Dance?

What is everyone's thoughts on having a dance for all of the Middle School?
