-The week of November 21st is a HOLIDAY for Thanksgiving!!
-Checkpoint assessments will occur the weeks of Nov. 28 & Dec. 5. See schedule below:
Tuesday, Nov. 29- 4th & 5th Reading
Wednesday, Nov. 30- 4th Writing, 1st-3rd Reading
Tuesday, Dec. 6- 3rd-5th Math
Wednesday, Dec. 7- 5th Science
-Science Night and the 5th Grade program will be on Thursday, Dec. 8th.
-The WPE Christmas Party will be on Friday, December 9th from 7-9. The cost is $10 per person. See Karli for details.
-There will be a NEST meeting following dismissal on Monday, Dec. 12th.
-WPE School Spelling Bee will be held on Tuesday, December 13th.
-RtI Decision Meetings will be held during conference periods on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
-December 16th is an early release day for students.

Team Turkey!
HUGE shout-out to Coach Castle and the Specials team for another successful Turkey Trot! There was a huge turn-out with a record number of t-shirts (and smiling faces)... and thank you, rain, for staying away just long enough. Go TEAM!!

* Thank you for writing all the wonderful Positive office Referral to your students. We went from 6 Positive Office Referrals to 35. Way to Go WPE staff!
* Guidance lesson: for the Second Nine Weeks the Counselor's office will focus on Personal Responsibility: A person’s tendency to be careful and reliable in his/her actions and to contribute to group efforts.
Adults Can Foster A Sense of Personal Responsibility in Students
Modeling clear and consistent positive behaviors
Creating a supportive classroom environment where young people are encouraged to reflect on the areas where they need support
Providing safe opportunities to practice new skills
