Mission Statement
Principal's Message
We made it through Testing week! I think I heard a collective sigh of relief from students and teachers alike. Thank you parents, for your help ensuring that your students were here on time, had enjoyed a good breakfast, and were well rested, especially during testing week.
This week, we kick off our Annual Fund drive with North Texas Giving Day on Thursday, September 20th. Each school family will be receiving in the mail, information about our Annual Fund drive outlining the goal of the drive. We ask that you prayerfully consider contributing to the Annual Fund beginning with a contribution on North Texas Giving Day.
Speaking of North Texas Giving Day, we will host our first annual SMG Counts event on Thursday evening from 5-8PM in the cafetorium. During this fun event, we invite families to join us to play board games, enjoy refreshments, watch a volleyball game in the gym, and watch the North Texas Giving Day donation "returns" in real-time on the screen in the cafetorium. Please see the SMG Counts ad below for more information.
Monday night, Home and School will host their first general meeting of the school year. Information will be shared about the parish Middle School Youth group, Kountry Karnival, Dinner Dance, the SPIRIT Program, and the upcoming Dine Out Night. New and used uniforms will also be on sale before and after the meeting.
Looking forward to seeing you this week!
St. Maria Goretti, Pray for Us!
Blessings,
Laura Behee, M.Ed.

North Texas Giving Day
We kick off our Annual Fund drive with North Texas Giving Day on Thursday, September 20th. North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to allow everyone to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about. North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
St. Maria Goretti Catholic School will again participate in the event, hoping to raise funds to begin several campus improvement projects that include updating our PA system, adding a Raptor ID Security system, and updating curriculum resources. Please visit our North Texas Giving Day page by clicking the link below.
Our goal is 100% participation. No minimum donation. Every dollar counts!
Did you know some companies have Matching Gift Programs? Matching Gift Programs allow companies to support nonprofits their employees care most about. Please, check with your employer and see if they offer a Matching Gift Program.
Donations can also be scheduled in advance from September 10-19.
