School Starts in a WEEK!
We are putting the finishing touches on getting our school year started. The teachers came back to work last week and we will spend this week focusing on setting goals for the new year. We can hardly wait to see everyone on Friday, August 21st at our Meet the Teacher Morning from 7:30 AM- 9:00 AM. You are invited to bring your child, any school supplies, and your camera to meet your child's new teacher and see where they will spend the next school year in our care. We do have some new faces on campus this year, and below the greeting in the body of the newsletter, you will find some information about our newest staff members joining our team. They are excellent educators and we are so fortunate have them join are already awesome team.
How do you know who your child's teacher is for the year? On August 20, 2015, you will be able to log back into the parent portal (where you updated forms, etc. earlier this month) and view your child's schedule. At that point, your child's teacher will be listed. So exciting!
If you still haven't updated forms and are getting my pesky reminder phone message to do so, here are the detailed directions for your to accomplish that task before Friday. Log on to your Parent Portal account at http://parentviewer.pisd.edu. If you have never registered to access parent viewer, click on New Registration to set up a new account. You will need your student's ID number (if you do not have that, please call the office at 469-752-4500 and we can provide that to you). In addition, you must have an email address to register. The easiest way to set one up is through free services such as Yahoo@ mail.yahoo.com, or gmail@ mail.google.com. Once you have an email account, complete the New Registration form at http://parentviewer.pisd.edu. If you need technology assistance, you can contact the PISD help desk at 469-752-8767.
Once you have logged in to the parent portal account, you will see tabs for each of your students. On the main parent portal page, follow the directions for filling out items below.

Our NEWEST staff members!
Scott Schweikhard, Assistant Principal: My name is Scott Schweikhard, but most people call me Mr. S. I could not be more excited to come join the amazing McCall family! It is my passion to work together with students, educators, and parents who are all doing their part to make sure that solving problems and learning are two things that happen every single day!
I was born in Dallas and lived my first few years of life right here in Plano. We moved out to west Texas when I was 4, and that is where I spent the next 18 years of my life. I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Kinesiology. I had the opportunity to go back to college a few years later and earned a Masters degree in Educational Administration. Before I came to McCall I taught and coached basketball in Garland, Frisco, and Nashville, Tennessee.
I live up near Frisco with my wife Paula, my little boy Theo, and our two dogs – Stuart and Penny. McCall is a great place to be able to come every day and do what I love to do – help students start to realize their potential and assist as they develop into lifelong learners!
Angeli Lu, First Grade: I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education at Texas Woman's University. I am a first year teacher, and am absolutely excited to join the McCall family!
Mindy Molina, First Grade: I am so excited to be teaching this year at McCall Elementary. Since graduating from the University of North Texas, I have taught third and first grade and discovered my passion for first grade. I have spent the last 4 years in first grade and enjoyed every moment. Please know that it is an honor for me to teach your children. I want to make sure they have the best first grade year!
Cynthia Hill, Second Grade: Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I’m so excited to spend this next year teaching at McCall Elementary!
I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce. This is my 10th year of teaching with Plano ISD. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, First grade, Second grade, and Third grade. Most of my career was spent teaching Second grade and I love it! I look forward to a year filled with fun, learning, and lots of growth.
Morgan Henry, Third Grade: My name is Ms. Henry and I am going to be part of the third grade team. This is my first year at McCall but my second year as a third grade teacher. I graduated from the University of Texas in Dallas with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies. I look forward to working with you to help your child succeed now and for the rest of their life.

I have both my Bachelors of Science in teaching with an emphasis in Language and Liberal Studies and Masters in Teaching & Masters of Special Education. I have been teaching for over thirteen years. I would view myself as a good thinker, resourceful teacher, responsible, quick learner, optimistic person, and flexible. In my leisure time, I like scrapbooking, traveling, teaching, and spending quality time with my family. I feel very happy to introduce myself to you and look forward to talking with you.
Nehal Elramy, Special Education: I am coming to McCall from Andrews Elementary with a passion for serving special needs children. I look forward to a great year at McCall!
Pamela Whitwell, Counselor: I am starting my career at McCall in a role I have pursued since childhood. I am a graduate of Texas A&M and received my master's in counseling from the University of North Texas.
