OCCT Parent, Teacher, Student Guides
The OCCT practice test books have arrived! All elementaries (with the exception of Kendall-Whittier and Skelly) will need to come to the Enrollment Center to pick up the Parent, Teacher, Student Guides for the OCCT. Most schools have around 4 boxes. The Enrollment Center hours are 8am-4:30pm. Any staff member from your school is welcome to pick up these materials as long as they have a TPS badge.

The changes have been made in the online test, however, the paper guides were printed prior to the identification of the errors. As a reminder, a small portion of questions on actual OCCT the science test may contain a technology-enhanced question or a paired multiple-choice question. Reminders for ACT for Juniors-- March 29
Please make sure you complete the Non-Test Portions of the Answer Booklet prior to Test Day. They cannot be completed once there are answers in the Answer Document. It will take 1 ½ hours to 1 hour 45 minutes to complete all of the non-test portion activities, so please plan accordingly.
Please note on page 17 of ACT Test Administration Manual, “If examinees have not completed any of sections A-D and N-R before the initial test date, do not permit them to test that day. Instead schedule them for makeup testing and arrange for them to complete the non-test portions before the makeup test date. If you do not, they cannot test on the makeup date either.
Block K will need to be filled in for any student without a yellow name label. Fill in Block K – the ACT code for your high school – yourself. Because the high school code determines which school will receive a copy of the examinee’s ACT score report, and correct reporting is critical, this field is the responsibility of staff at the testing school.
The Verbal Directions for filling out the pre-test day instructions begin on page 19 and end on page 21.
Have your students fill in Box S with four zeroes at the beginning of their student number. Example: a TPS ID of 642356 will become 0000642356 to fill all 10 spaces.
There are three typos in the verbal directions, On page 20, the first paragraph, "find the list of codes" should be founf on page 15. Also, on page 21 – The Student Profile Section is on page 11 of the booklet (not page 7) and the ACT Interest Inventory is on page 14 (not page 10).
We highly recommend you have printed unofficial transcripts for your juniors to use to fill out the High School Course/Grade information section. They use the 2nd semester grade for all year-long classes. Pounded out F's become D's. Students will not put a letter grade in for classes they are still currently taking, even though they have a 1st semester grade.
Students with Special Education accommodations have a different (extended) window for testing due to the requirement that they test in a separate location and/or over multiple days. Because there are so many different scenarios for SPED testing, please contact Becky or Erin directly with questions after consulting the ACT Test Administration Manual for Special Testing (blue print on cover). We are happy to help!
