The following items are now available for one-month checkout from the IMC. Try them out with students or staff!
Dot and Dash
Drag-and-drop programming controls 2 different bots. Dash can sing, dance, and play the xylophone. Adapters included for Lego compatibility.
Kit contains one Dash robot, one Dot robot, xylophone, catapult arm, and Lego connectors.
Ozobot Class Kit
Ozobots are miniature smart robots that follow lines, detect colors, and can be programmed through a tablet.
Kit contains 18 Ozobots and chargers, 18 marker sets, 6 mini bowling sets, and a teacher pack with poster, instructions, and code sheets.
Magna Tiles
Magna Tiles are plastic shapes with magnets embedded in the edges to snap together, allowing students to build 2- and 3-dimensional creations.
Kit contains 100 pieces.
Keva Planks
Keva Planks are smooth, uniformly-sized blocks that allow construction of all kinds of structures.
Kit contains 400 planks.
Osmo Genius Kit
Osmo is an iPad add-on that uses a mirror and free apps to allow students to use the iPad draw, sort, and play with real-world objects.
Kit contains Osmo stand and mirror, Tanagram, Numbers, and Words.
View Master VR Viewer
The View Master VR Viewer works with a smartphone to play virtual reality apps. Load the app, insert your phone, and be immersed in a 3-D world.
Kit contains 3 View Master viewers.
Little Bits Workshop Kit
The Little Bits Workshop kit contains 160 pieces (8 sets of 20 different Bits) that allow students to learn about programming and electronics by combining different triggers and outputs.
Sphero 2.0 6-pack
Sphero is a waterproof, round programmable robot that can be driven with several different iPad or Android apps.
Kit contains 6 Spheros and charging bases and 6 ramps.
Sphero Accessory Pack
Extras for your Sphero bots. Kit contains 8 small ramps, 2 chariots, and 2 double ramps with rails (pictured).
How to Reserve
Search for and reserve Makerspace Kits the same way you would novel sets.
- In your Catalog tab, uncheck your library and check Instructional Media Center.
- Search for Makerspace to see the full list of kits available.
- In the Title Details tab, click the Book It button to reserve.
- When you're done, check to make sure all parts are back in the box and contact Laura to schedule pick up.
