Similarities
The purpose of a war has been the same forever. The way wars have been fought for the past 70 years have been spread out so that the other team can't see you. Wars have been a game of stragetiey for almost forever. Wars have been fought with weapons and the weapons haven't been changed since the 1950's, the Browning Hi-Power is a gun that is still used today.
Differences
The army's now are very hi tech with all the technology we have today. The planes they use today are very well designed and can fly very fast. The fastest military plane can go up to 4,000 mph. The fastest plane during 1950's could only go 160 mph. The uniforms have changed, in the 50's they were a dark greened and now they are desert camouflage. The flak jacket has enough stuff to protect them from a wound or incoming bullet but won't protect you from bombs.
