Woodland Springs Update
March, 2018
Spring Fever!
As we enter Springtime and warmer weather, students become ancy and unfocused and misbehavior increases. Teachers really work hard to keep students engaged with interactive lessons and fun projects to help keep misbehavior at bay. We also reinforce our common area procedures more often and remind students of classroom expectations. However, sometimes we need a little encouragement from parents. Please talk with your child about always doing their best, being respectful, and finishing the year strong. We want all children to have a safe and happy school experience for the remainder of the year!

WSES Student Expectations
Positive
Respectful
Intententional
Determined
Excellent
When students are seen following these expectations in all common areas of the school, teachers provide Wildcat Cash to students which they can exchange at the end of the week for privileges set up by classroom teachers. Thank you for reviewing these expectations with your child!
Attendance
The Texas Education Code, Section 25.085, states that a child is required to attend school each school day for the entire period the program of instruction is provided, unless exempted by law. A student is in violation of truancy when the student is absent three or more days, or parts of days, within a four-week period. If a student is in violation of truancy, the parent/guardian may be subject to criminal prosecution, and the student is subject to referral to a truancy court for truant conduct. Keller ISD will enforce the Texas compulsory attendance laws.
This is the approved calendar for the school year!
