FIHS Weekly Update

What's Happening this Week: January 17, 2023

New semester courses began today! Ask your child about their new classes and take time together this week to review the syllabus for each course.


Report cards for the first semester go home with all students on Thursday, January 19.


Tickets are on sale now for the FIHS Winter Formal through myschoolbucks.com. Tickets are on sale for $20 per person and will not be sold at the door. The dance will be held at FIHS from 7PM to 9:30PM on Saturday, January 28.


The tardy bell for first block rings at 8:45AM. Students should be at school by 8:40AM each day.


ID fines and other charges will be sent home to all students with report cards this Thursday, January 19. Outstanding charges must be paid before March 1, 2023 and can be paid online at myschoolbucks.com

Come meet your child's new teachers for the Spring semester on January 31, 2023 starting at 6PM. Plan to follow your child's new schedule to spend time meeting the teachers, seeing the classroom spaces, and learning about the new courses your child is enrolled in next semester.

Seat Time Recovery

Students are required to meet seat time requirements in all classes to receive credit for the course. No more than 5 Unexcused Absences are allowed in each class each semester. Parents may write notes to excuse up to 5 absences for each class. Students who exceed the allowed amount of Unexcused Absences will not receive credit for the course at the end of the semester.


Seat time may be recovered before school, after school, and during Saturday School.
