The Board welcomed the 2022-2023 Student Board Members, Mr. Mehki Johnson, Kent Island High School and Mr. Samuel "Austin" Tuel, Queen Anne's County High School.
Mr. Rocco Barletta, Teacher at Stevensville Middle School, was recognized as the 2022-2023 National PLTS Gateway Teacher of the Year! Congratulations Mr. Barletta!

The Board welcomed Mr. Joseph Saboury to QACPS. Mr. Saboury will be the Coordinator of School Safety and Security.

The Board approved the purchase of the Naviance Solutions Suite with PowerSchool for the 2022-2023 school year. Fiscal Impact, $43,954.61 Budget Source. FY23 Unrestricted Budget - Guidance Software.
The Board approved the contract with Mohawk Lifts, LLC to purchase a Hunter alignment machine for Queen Anne's County High School. Fiscal Impact, $34,114.85. Budget Source, FY22 Year End Funds.
The Board approved the contract with Vigil Contracting to install new serving counters, cold/heat pass throughs & replace the walk-in freezer/fridge condensers/evaporators at BES. Fiscal Impact, $212,542.17 - Budget Source, Food Service Fund Balance.
The Board approved the contract with Flynn Mid-Atlantic for partial roof replacement at Kent Island Elementary School. Fiscal Impact, $1,122,970.00. Budget Source, FY 2022 and 2023 Capital Budget.
The Board approved the contract with Raintree Services to replace the standing seam metal roof at Bayside Elementary School. Fiscal Impact, $1,109,273.00. Budget Source FY 2022 and 2023 Capital Budget.
The Board approved the cooperative purchasing contract with Douron for new student furniture at Queen Anne's County High School. Fiscal Impact, $396,147.32. Budget Source, ESSER II.
The Queen Anne's County Board of Education approved Policy 104 subject to final edits for format and style. This policy will be updated on our website ASAP.
