Charles V was born on the 24th February 1500 in Ghent in the Low Countries His parents were Joanna of Castile (Juana La Loca) and Philip I of Castile Charles V’s maternal grandparents were the Catholic Reyes, Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon, and his paternal grandparents were Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor, and Mary of Burgundy Charles was the nephew of Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon He was King of Spain (Charles I) from 1516-1556 He was Holy Roman Emperor from 1519-1556
As a boy he was educated by Willian de Croy and Adrian of Utrecht (Pope Adrian VI)
As King of Spain he became ruler of many greater and lesser European states. Charles was the heir of three of Europe's leading dynasties, the House of Habsburg of the Habsburg Monarchy, the House of Valois-Burgundy of the Burgundian Netherlands, and the House of Trastámara of the Crowns of Castile and Aragon. From Spain he ruled over extensive domains in Central, Western, and Southern Europe, and the Spanish colonies in the Americas and Asia. Charles was the first king to rule Castile, León, and Aragon simultaneously in his own right. In 1519, Charles became Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria. From that point forward, his empire spanned nearly four million square kilometers across Europe, the Far East, and the Americas.[4] Much of Charles's reign was devoted to the Italian Wars against France which, although enormously expensive, were militarily successful, and which led to the development of the first modern professional army in Europe, the Tercios.
I think that Charles V should stay in rule because of all the good things he did
