CSA Lincoln Update
Supporting Savanna's Family
CSA Lincoln Family,
I talked with Savanna's stepmother, Jordan, earlier today. She wanted me to share with you their appreciation for your thoughts and kindness during this difficult time. As you can imagine, they are struggling and feel very lost.
Jordan and I talked through some ideas of how we can support them in their time of need. I hope you will consider one of these opportunities. I know we can step up in a big way to make a difference for this family. Thank you to our incredible PTO for organizing and managing these efforts.
Make A Meal (Only CSA Lincoln families)-Jordan said she was blessed with children who will eat anything. Cooking can also be therapeutic. You will deliver the meal to CSA Lincoln by 2:30 p.m. on your day and a family member will be picking it up. It should feed a family of five. You might consider partnering with another family. You do not need to provide utensils or paperware. Their extended family wanted to help in that regard. You can sign up here. We can always extend the window if there is a lot of interest.
Monetary Donations and Gift Cards (Anyone)- If cooking isn't your thing, you might consider giving a gift card to a restaurant. Eventually Matt and Jordan will be returning to work. There are costs associated with school (supplies, lunch, trips, before/after school care, etc.). The PTO will accept any donations (cash or checks written to CSA Lincoln PTO) to support the family. The PTO can then work with the family to use the donations to support Keegan, Carson and Bri. You can turn both gift cards and donations into the main office.
Thank you for your support!
On Thursday, several staff members will be going to visitation. We will be working with BCSC officials and other elementary school counselors to provide coverage. I just wanted you to be aware that there is a plan in place to support both our staff and students on Thursday.
