Important Reminders
Attendance Matters: The Effects of Tardiness on Education
It may seem like 10 minutes isn’t really that much, but for the typical school day of 6.5 hours, a student who is only 10 minutes late every day may miss up to 30 hours of school time that year. School-wide data has shown that students arriving late to class has been a challenge during quarter 1 for our students.
In addition, students who are frequently late to school miss out on important daily announcements and instructions for lessons and academic activities.
When students miss out on instructions, teachers must adjust and redirect their attention away from regular teaching time and towards filling the gaps for students resulting in less learning time for all students.
Please do your best to continue to strive toward making it to school on time for both your child and the rest of our school community.

Illinois Department of Public Health Guideline Update
The Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines state:
Fully vaccinated persons do not need to maintain physical distance and are not required to quarantine or be excluded from school if exposed to a case as long as they remain asymptomatic.
Please complete the survey so the school administration has a record of your child(ren)’s vaccination status for quarantining purposes only. You can update this survey at any time if your child(ren)’s vaccination status changes.
