The Stingray Scoop!
PDES Weekly Newsletter 1/24/22
Principal Message
Dear Peace Dale families,
It is that time of year again when teachers, students and families across RI are asked to participate in SurveyWorks. The Rhode Island Department of Education explains the purpose of this survey below:
"The SurveyWorks Stakeholder Survey Initiative is an effort to gather information that will help improve the quality of schools across Rhode Island. The surveys capture and assess information that helps educators understand and act upon what students, teachers, support professionals, administrators, and parents say about the climate, culture, and learning environments in their schools."
We participate in this survey because it provides us with formative data to impact classroom practices and school improvement efforts. Students in grades 3-12, teachers and support professionals, parents/guardians of students in all Rhode Island public schools, and building administrators take the survey. You can see the results from last year's survey here: View SurveyWorks Data From 2020-2021 Here
Parents/Guardians are asked to provide feedback focused on important topics such as, School Safety, School Climate, Family Support, and Family Engagement. Last year, we had over 160 family responses. The survey is open from January 18th-March 31st. To access the survey:
All family survey links will be available at: http://bit.ly/ridefamily.
Families will choose their school from a searchable dropdown menu of schools.
Thank you for your time and your feedback. We truly appreciate it.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
With gratitude and respect always,
Mrs. Komocar
