Did you know that Baltz is a Title 1 School? Do you wonder, "What does this mean?" The Title I program is designed to provide compensatory educational support to disadvantaged children. Funding allocated to the school district and individual schools is based on levels of poverty. Services are based solely on academic need. A primary goal of Title I is to raise student achievement in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. The Title I program may also provide supplemental educational services so that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. Read more about how being a Title 1 school provides support for our students, below.
Notes About Arrival:
- Students should not arrive on campus before 8:45- there is no supervision. There are too many children arriving who are not with adults and are being unsafe while they wait for the doors to open.
- Students who are arriving in cars should be sure to get masks ready and book bags in hand as they wait in the car so that when the staff opens the door they are ready to climb out of the car, quickly. Please have your child wait until staff opens the door for them.
Dress Code Reminders:
No hoodies at all during school hours.
Starting in Marking Period 2 (11/2) - Hoodie Checks. If your student is wearing a hoodie, they will be asked to take it off and put it in their backpack/cubby.
Crew neck sweatshirts and/or sweaters without hoodies are acceptable. Some Baltz crew neck sweatshirts are available to buy from the office if you are interested. They are $20.
If the student refuses to remove the hoodie, the parent/guardian will be called.
