My Poems
By Patrick Waldroup
Color poem
Orange is the dragon's flames.
Orange smells like fresh cinnamon.
Orange tastes like the sweetest of juices.
Orange sounds like wind chimes.
Orange looks like the beautiful flowers.
Orange feels like the sun's rays.
Orange makes me full of energy.
Orange is the brightest color of them all.
Personification Poem
I am fire
Dancing in flames
Leaping to grab trees
While consuming all
I am fire
Makes Me Think Of Poem
Dragons make me think of Pteradons
Pteradons make me think of Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs make me think of History
History makes me think of Humanity
Humanity makes me think of Cavemen
Cavemen make me think of Fire
Ode Poem
Ode To Youth
There was a time when meadow, grove and stream,
The earth and every common sight,
To me did seem,
Apparelled in celestial light,
The glory and freshness of a dream.
It is now not as it has been before,
Turn wheresoever I may,
By night or by day,
The things I had once seen I now can see no more.
Limerick Poem
The owl and the clock
Tick, Tock,
Tick, Tock,
The owl said to the clock.
Who are you,
What do you do?
Tick, Tock,
Tick, Tock.
Rhyme Scheme Poem
Bid me to weep,
And I will weep,
While I have eyes to see.
And having none,
Yet I will keep,
A heart to weep for thee.
