PBIS
The results from the PBIS self assessment survey have been published and shared with the PBIS team. I will email you all a link to access the results. Some of the strengths that you identified are: (whole school) procedures are in place to address emergency/dangerous situations (81% rated in place); (classroom) expected student behavior and routines in classrooms are stated positively and defined clearly (79% rated in place); (whole school) a small number of clearly stated student expectation or routines are defined (76% rated in place). These are the top three items that you as a staff felt we have in place at Trice.
Some high priority items that were identified for improvement were reporting patterns of student problem behavior to teams and faculty for active decision-making on a regular basis, providing formal opportunities for families to receive training on behavioral support/positive parenting strategies, and providing a behavior support team to respond promptly to students who present chronic problems behaviors. These are the top three items you as a staff feel we do not have in place and they carry an improvement priority over 50%.
As a team we plan to address these issues to make Trice a more positive learning environment for all students. Members of the PBIS team are JoAnne Floyd, Carolyn Walker, Dixie Druhan, Suzanne Weir, Paige Mears, Kelly Torrans, Beth Monaghan, Sherry Grimes, Bryan McDonald, Tracey Boyles.
