SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS - LAST DAY TO ORDER!
Supply kits for next school year, 2023-2024, are now available to purchase! The sale runs from Friday, May 5th until
Friday May, 19th. After that window, you will NOT be able to order a kit. Don't miss out on the chance to buy all the supplies your Walden student(s) will need in
one easy transaction!To purchase your supply kit, please go to the "FOR SALE" section on the Walden PTO app or the Walden PTO website. If your child is an incoming Kindergartener, you must either create a PTO account or add their name to your existing PTO account.
All kits will be delivered to Walden and be waiting in your child's classroom on the first day of school. This is the preferred choice by the teachers - so they can label and organize all of your child's belongings before school begins. Don’t forget to order for the grade(s) your child(ren) will be in next fall.

DONUT & BAGEL BREAKFAST
Wow, donuts and bagels oh my! Thank you for all those that attended the donut and bagel breakfast! What a fun treat to have a surprise visit from the Deerfield Fire Department! A special thank you to our wonderful Walden staff for serving breakfast. We “donut” know what what we would do without our fabulous breakfast organizers: Marci Sabin, Cindy Hoch, Sarah Herman, Maria Vernon, and Shannon Wroblewski. Thank you ladies! We are also grateful for our local businesses who helped make this breakfast possible: Sunset Foods Highland Park, Upper Crust Bagels, Once Upon a Bagel, Newport Coffee, Joe Donuts, and Deerfield Bakery. We are already looking forward to next year’s breakfast.
STEAM NIGHT
What a fantastic Friday! We made butter, whipped cream & slime, learned to code our names, hung out with some bunnies & chickens, learned how to make plaster casts, made shrinky dinks, drove robots, played math games and enjoyed so many other amazing hands-on activities.
Thank you to Sabina Holzman, Christie Koch, Jennifer Luttig-Komrosky & Abby Portman for planning a fabulous event! Thank you to April McKee for supervising the night.
Thank you to all of our Walden parents that ran various activities that helped make night STEAM Night so successful.
STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
Thank you to Angie Butera & Mindy Kallsnick for going above and beyond for our Walden staff!
On Friday we were able to treat the staff to a fabulous BBQ and personalized aprons!
Thank you to everyone that helped card the yard. If you would like your Paw Sign please make sure to bring it home with you. The landscapers will be collecting the remaining signs soon.
