September 2018

Director's Note

Summer flew by so fast! We had a very successful Summer Reading. Check out the information in the newsletter about how many people participated! It was a lot of fun. Did you hear that we received new Kindle Fires? The Kindles are a donation from Lynn Schattner, the owner of Cyber Solutions. Cyber Solutions challenged the adult readers of the Carlisle Library to read as much as they could during the library's Summer Reading Program. For every one book read and activity completed, Cyber Solutions donated $1 to the library for the purchase of Kindle Fires that will be available to the public for check out! The adult community really stepped up! 77 different individuals read 601 books! Amazing! We have received the Kindles and we are working on getting safe cases and carrying bags. Once the Kindles are ready we will let the community know! Thank you Lynn Schattner and Cyber Solutions!

Can you believe that we start planning next summer’s reading program in September already?
