Earthquakes PBL

A Paragraph About Earthquake PBL

Driving Question: How will we as structual engineers, build a two story house in California, that will withstand siesmic activity?

Description: We made the second floor cut in half because we thought it was more convenient because it not only used less resources, but it was more sturdy. For the model, we used tooth picks, popsicle sticks, straws, clay, and many other things.

Atmosphere 30 hands project

All about the 30 hands project

We answered questions about out unit, which was the atmosphere. We did that by answering it breifly on Pic Collage and putting it on 30 hands, then we spoke about it more thoroughly and added pictures and captions.

The questions for the thirty hands project are listed here:

Invention Convention

We did a thing that is sort of like a vaccum, but it sucks up pollution in the ocean instead. It sucks up things like plastic and oil. It has a wheel at the back of the Cleaninator 3000 and it moves by flowing water hitting the wheel. It has four containers connecting to the Cleaninator and once they fill up with plastic and things that pollute the ocean it goes to the top of the ocean and fills up another tube.

*Extra Credit Favorite Unit

My favorite unit this year was weathering, erosion, and deposition. I really liked this unit because I understanded it the most.
Big image

Erosion

Erosion basically carries the sediment and the deposition deposits it.

weathering

Weathering is the process of breaking down rocks. There are two types of weathering, Mechanical and Chemical.

Deposition

deposition is kind of like dropping off something, it has to do with Erosion. Deposition gets the sediment and drops it off or deposits it in the ocean.
