The Pirate Way
Hello Pirates!
Can you believe that we only have 139 days until our Class of 2023 graduation? It seems that time passes faster every year! It is so important that we make sure that we capture every day and every minute. Although, there are many times we are excited for the next thing, the next adventure or the even the next day it is important to remember that we must cherish our time and make sure we do not rush to the next big thing or rush to make the next big decision. Taking the time to make sure we are going the right direction and making the right choices makes sure that the limited time we do have is not wasted.
Thinking about time makes me remember that I am so blessed to be able to share four years with our students. It always piques my interest when I hear students talking about graduation and their next chapter in life. I normally run through a few different emotions. First happiness that they have been successful and will have so many options after OHS and then I get a little sad when I know I won't see them daily any longer. Then I remember our role at OHS is to make sure that the days we have our students, under our watch, we are here to support them academically, emotionally and socially so that they can leave here and help support themselves and others. Knowing at OHS we do not settle for giving our students and community anything but the best. At OHS we know our students can go out and change the world. This fact makes me not only ecstatic, but also so very proud that I have had any part in their Pirate Experience.
Please remember that it is all of us together that make OHS what it is for all of our students. We welcome you to be an active participant in the activities and happenings on campus. If you have any suggestions please do not hesitate to reach out to any OHS staff member! We are a team working toward a common goal. Only when we all work together can we truly transform and increase the success of all of our OHS students!
Pirates you are a part of something big! You belong and will always belong in the Oceanside High School Pirate Community. What an amazing feeling to realize you belong to something bigger than the individual Pirate, but rather part of a 100 year plus Pirate Ship Community!
Regardless of where you may go and no matter what you end up accomplishing the one thing that you have to count on is that you will ALWAYS be a PIRATE!
Stay safe! Know you are loved and belong to the Pirate community - this is the Pirate Way!
