Adding Attachments FAQ
Have questions about adding attachments to your newsletters? Look no further! This handy newsletter has the answers.
Q: What file types are supported?
A: The attachment feature allows you to add a pdf, csv, doc, docx, pdf, pps, ppt, rtf, txt, xls, or xlsx file to your newsletters.
The Attachment feature does not support any image files (png, gif, jpeg, jpg). Please use the "Picture" button to add image files to your newsletter.
Q: Can I attach a Powerpoint presentation?
A: Yes! You can use the Attachment feature to add a PowerPoint presentation to your newsletter.
Q: What size files are supported?
A: We support up to 25 MB.
Q: Who will have access to the files I attached to my newsletter?
A: Anyone who has access to your newsletter will be able to access the file.
Remember, if you would like to keep your newsletter private, make sure to set your newsletter to private and only share newsletters with viewers you trust.
Q: How can I gain access to this feature?
A: Only our paying users have access to this feature. To upgrade your plan, please click on one of the buttons provided below, and you will be redirected to one of our pricing pages.
Q: Can I add an attachment so that it will appear as an image in the newsletter?
A: At this time, we do not offer the ability to add an attachment and have it look like an image rather than a link in your newsletter.
A possible workaround is to take a screenshot of the file and upload it as a regular image to your newsletter.
Q: I have an Educator account but I am not seeing the option to add a PDF file.
The Attachment feature can be found in the “Add Content” section at the right side of the Editor, or by clicking on the green "+" sign that appears when you hover over the sections in your newsletter.

Q: I try to upload a file using the Attachment feature but nothing happens when I click on the File widget.
A: The most common reason why users have trouble uploading files is that the cache is preventing them from being able to access the most recent update of the website.
To fix this issue, we recommend clearing the cache in your browser. We’ve created a guide with instructions on how to clear cache in each browser - click HERE to access it.
Q: I cleared cache but I’m still unable to upload files.
A: No need to worry! It might just require a little more investigation on our end.

Q: Recipients who view my newsletter on their mobile phones aren’t able to download my attachment.
A: We discovered that attachment accessibility entirely depends on the internal browser of the messaging system with which the recipient is viewing the newsletter. Some messaging platforms do not have permission to download attachments directly to a phone.
Our recommendation is to have your recipients view your newsletters from Google Chrome on their phones, as it allows the attachments to be downloaded and opened.
