Plot Summary
King Midas was a kind but stupid man. There was a satyr in his town which he saved from punishment. Then the god Dionysus had rewarded him for being good, the reward was to grant one wish. His wish was that everything he touched would turn to gold. After the wish was granted he hugged his daughter and she turned to gold. Then he realized it was a mistake. He goes back to Dionysus to get his wish taken away, and instead he gave him donkey ears. He covered his ears with a hat and only his barber knew of the secret.
