Teacher Appreciation Video
We are so incredibly thankful to work with your children, and we are equally thankful of your support of education. This gesture meant the world to our teachers this week who miss your children greatly! Thank you for helping us to create this amazing message! A huge shout out to 7th grade English teacher Ms. Greene for her work in putting this amazing video message together!
Grading and ASPEN
Just a reminder that student progress can be checked in ASPEN starting this week. All remote learning activities will be assessed as credit (CR)/no credit (NC). If you would like to check your child's progress, go in ASPEN as you normally would, click on ACADEMICS, then the class you would like to check, and then ASSIGNMENTS in the left hand column.
At the end of Trimester 3, teachers will determine if a student has earned one of the following grades as a final grade:
Credit with Distinction (100%) – The student meets the learning expectations and excels in all capacities of remote learning
Credit (85%) - The student meets learning expectations
No Credit (58%) – The student did not meet the learning expectations
Trimester 3 grades will count as 10% of the student’s final grade.
Lastly, we want to stress the importance of our remote learning that is occurring at this time. Clearly, our means of delivering content and instruction has changed, but the relationship between teacher/student is present and able to grow. It is important that our students take part in their Trimester 3 learning opportunities.
One Book, One School (OBOS)
As you know, the entire student body will read the book over the summer, and then celebrate some common themes related to the book during the year. The book is a FANTASTIC selection and we are very EXCITED to announce it! Information regarding the distribution of the book to the elementary schools and our 6th and 7th graders will be forthcoming...
Virtual Homeroom Google Meetings
Want to support our MHS graduation class of 2020?
Please recognize with us the significant accomplishments of our graduating Class of 2020. This pandemic has severely interrupted the annual celebrations for our graduating class. Traditions and opportunities to celebrate together have been changed, cancelled or altered in different shapes and forms. With this in mind we are asking our community to join in recognizing the Class of 2020 efforts by holding a week long “Community Lighting'' starting May 22 thru June 1, 2020. The event entails our homes being decorated with green and white Christmas lights to say to our Class of 2020, “well done!” This is a chance for our families to put words into action as we celebrate that “We Are Marshfield.” Please plan accordingly and on the evening of May 22 – light your home, and say well done.
Take care,
Principal Keuther
